I am studying each rocket and creating little drawings right now. Each one seems to evoke emotion for me and as I talk to my colleagues I am able to learn how they feel about them as well. I invite everyone to give me feedback...COME ON help a girl out!!! I am enjoying the direction I am headed from the organism drawings to where I am at now with the rockets. I see similarities as well as differences from my last body of work compared to my current series.

ReplyDeleteI love looking at these drawings! Partly because I have inside information and understand the content behind them, but also because technically they are beautiful to look at. The line work is esthetically pleasing & the composition is intriguing. Conceptually, the lines are full of movement which evoke emotion... chaos yet still in space. I enjoy the negative floating space around the rockets for me it feels like the idea of dead. A dead rocket or a threat to the lives of people. I wonder... what if you played with some perspective?
